Ni No Kuni PS3 will be released in North America and Europe

Ni No Kuni for the PS3 was just confirmed by Namco Bandai to be coming out in the US and Europe in early 2012. For those who don’t already know, Ni No Kuni is a Japanese RPG developed by Level-5, which is the same company that made the Professor Layton games. The cinematics in this game are done by Studio Ghibli, who are responsible for movies such as Howl’s moving castle, My neighbor totoro, Spirited Away, Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, and more. From what the gameplay of Ni No Kuni looks like, it seems this will be a game that resembles what a more active version of pokemon would be like. Either way, I enjoy what it looks like and I am a fan of Studio Ghibli, so it is something I will be looking in to. Ni No Kuni will be hitting Europe and North America sometime early 2012.

Silent Hill Sees Another Delay

Silent Hill’s new installment Silent Hill Downpour has yet again been delayed. Developers believe that the game needs “more polishing before it  can be released”. The effective release date has been pushed back to Quarter 1 of 2012 (most likely in February). Konami has not officially stated the delay, but developer comments as well as  Amazon’s re-listing of the game with a February 15th 2012 release date, shows the change is more than likely official. This might actually be a good thing as review sites have posted hands on impressions of the TGS demo. They were stating everything felt unpolished and clunky. With a few extra months they can fine tune this title and make it one of the best Silent Hill yet! Let’s hope for the best and wait a little longer.
